Technconsult was contracted by Channel 44 Television to provide engineering services in designing, procureing, constructing, installing a state of the art 250Amp 3-phase,5-wire 240/415 Wye automatic transfer switch for their broadcast studio in Rubaga,Kampala and to upgrade all related switch and protection gear within its power room in addition to supervising wotks on the re-routing of a 11kV overhead distribution line. and supervising maintenance and installation of an 11kV/415Volts Power distribution transformer at their production house/facility in Rubaga.
The Television station also contracted Technconsult to design, procure and install Airconditioning systems at both their transmission studio in Kololo, Production studio facility in Rubaga and within the different office facilities at their headquaters.
Technconsult was also contracted by Channel 44 Television to conduct upmast installations at their studio to link mast in Rubaga. This included designing a robust earthing system to protect against the destructive effects of lightning on thioer equipment as well as installation upmast protective devices in the signal path.
